Snow‑Landscape Porcelain Plate

Description

This plate is the original work personally painted by Master Yang Shuhua in the summer of the year of Jisi (2025). The composition on the plate is spacious and grand, with continuous snow-capped mountains, bleak forests, and standing dead trees. Large areas of blank space combined with blue-and-white painting perfectly capture the vast and desolate feeling of the ‘Wild Snow Drift’ scene. The back of the plate is inscribed with ‘Wild Snow Drift’ and ‘Painted by Shuhua in Jingdezhen in the summer of the year of Jihai,’ accompanied by two red seals from the master.
Measuring 3cm high and 30cm in max diameter. This large-scale plate has a magnificent presence, ideal for display on a curio cabinet, a scholar‘s desk, or as a wall-mounted decorative piece. Snow landscape is one of Master Yang’s most iconic signature themes. His blue-and-white snow landscapes are regarded as a milestone in modern Jingdezhen ceramics. His works are held in Zhongnanhai‘s Ziguangge Pavilion, the Chinese National Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the Great Hall of the People.
