This decorative plate is an original hand-painted work by Master Yang Shuhua, created in the autumn of the Guimao Year (2023). The scene is painted using the Xincai (new color) technique. The composition is full and rich: distant mountains, swirling clouds, sturdy pine trees in the foreground, and pavilions nestled among the peaks. The plate is inscribed with “Painted by Shuhua in Jingdezhen, Autumn of Guimao”, accompanied by two of the artist’s red seals.

Measuring 2.5cm high and 30cm in diameter. This large-scale plate has a magnificent presence, ideal for display on a curio cabinet, a scholar’s desk, or as a wall-mounted decorative piece. Xincai is an important overglaze enamel technique in Jingdezhen. Master Yang integrates the brushwork and aesthetic of traditional Chinese landscape painting into ceramic art, creating a unique artistic style. His works are held in Zhongnanhai’s Ziguangge Pavilion, the Chinese National Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the Great Hall of the People.
