Blue and White Landscape Porcelain Vase

Description

This vase is an original painting personally created by Master Yang Shuhua in the early summer of the Bingwu year. The design on the vase is lofty and spacious, with towering peaks, swirling mist, and green pines and cypresses nestled among them. Below, the river winds gently, presenting a tranquil scene. The vase features a famous quote by Su Shi: ‘The sunlight shimmers on the water, perfect on a fine day; the mountain scenery is enchanting even in the rain.’ It is signed ‘Painted by Yang Shuhua in early summer of the Bingwu year in Jingdezhen’ and comes with two of the master’s red seals.

Measuring 37cm high and 25cm in belly diameter. With its tall, full, and elegant profile, this vase is ideal for display on a curio cabinet, a scholar’s desk, or in a living room as a grand decorative piece. Master Yang’s works are held in Zhongnanhai’s Ziguangge Pavilion, the Chinese National Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the Great Hall of the People.
